Clinton is a small parish seat about 30 miles north of Baton Rouge on US Highway 61. The town of 1,100 sits in Louisiana's hill country with a historic courthouse square. US 61 provides the main route south to Baton Rouge and north to Mississippi, while Highway 10 runs east-west through town. The 1840 red brick courthouse with its Greek Revival clock tower dominates the town square.
