Climax is a small farming town in northwestern Minnesota's Red River Valley, about 30 miles from the North Dakota border. Highway 2 runs right through town, connecting west to Grand Forks and east to Crookston. The name comes from the town sitting at one of the highest points in the otherwise completely flat Red River Valley.
