Climax is a tiny farming town of 170 people in rural southwest Georgia, about 15 miles from Bainbridge via Highway 97. Most visitors arrive from Tallahassee (45 miles) or other regional cities using US 27 and local county roads. The town sits at 230 feet elevation, which passes for a "peak" in the flat cotton and pecan country of Decatur County.
