Clifton is a small farming town in north-central Kansas where Highway 9 meets Highway 181. The nearest interstate access is about 30 miles south via Highway 181 to I-70. The town sits in the Republican River valley surrounded by corn and wheat fields. Its standout attraction is an 1888 stone jail that now operates as a local history museum.
