Clifton is a small farming town in southeastern Idaho's Cache Valley, just north of the Utah border at 4,600 feet elevation. US Highway 91 runs right through town, connecting to Preston 12 miles south and providing access to I-84 near Tremonton, Utah (35 miles) for longer trips to Salt Lake City. The town's massive concrete grain elevator, serving local wheat farmers since the 1940s, dominates the skyline and can be seen for miles across the valley.
