Clearwater is a small Mississippi River town in central Minnesota, about 70 miles northwest of Minneapolis via I-94 and Highway 24. The main routes are Highway 24 running north-south through town and Highway 15 connecting east to Saint Cloud. It's surrounded by farmland and serves nearby lake communities, with Saint Cloud Regional Airport 25 miles northeast. The restored 1920s downtown movie theater still shows films on weekends with its original tin ceiling intact.
