Clear Spring is a small town of 342 people in western Maryland's Washington County, about 15 miles southwest of Hagerstown. Take I-70 to Exit 18, then Route 68 to reach this community in the Appalachian foothills. The historic National Road (Route 40) runs nearby, and the town sits along Clear Spring Run. Its claim to fame is a stone arch bridge from the 1830s that carried the National Road over the creek.
