Clear Lake is a small Iowa town built around a large natural lake, just west of Mason City off US Highway 18. It's easily reached from Interstate 35 and serves as a gateway to Iowa's lake country. The town is famous for the Surf Ballroom, where Buddy Holly played his last concert in 1959.
