Clayton is a small Gloucester County city about 35 miles southeast of Philadelphia, accessible via Route 47 from I-295 and Route 42, or Route 322 from the west. The town sits along the Maurice River in South Jersey's farming and woodland region, with EV charging available on Route 322. The restored 1920s Clayton Theatre remains one of the area's last operating single-screen movie houses.
