Clarksville is a small lakeside town in south-central Virginia, home to about 1,500 people and the Mecklenburg County seat. Located on Buggs Island Lake (Kerr Lake), it's accessible via US Route 58 and connects north to I-85 through Route 49. The town serves boaters and anglers with Lake Country Regional Airport nearby, and features a historic 1904 courthouse with a working clock tower.
