Clarksville, a town of about 2,850 in northeast Texas near the Oklahoma border, sits at the intersection of US 82 and State Highway 37. Most visitors arrive via US 82 from Paris (25 miles west) or continue the route from Dallas via I-30 and US 67. The 1909 courthouse with its prominent clock tower has been keeping time for the community for over a century.
