Clarks is a small Louisiana town of 770 people in Caldwell Parish, accessible via US Highway 165 which connects north to Monroe (30 miles) and south to Alexandria (60 miles). State Highway 4 provides east-west access through the parish. The town sits in pine forest country and claims fame as the birthplace of Governor Jimmie Davis, who wrote "You Are My Sunshine."
