Clarkesville is a small mountain town in northeast Georgia that sits at the crossroads of US 441 and State Route 365. Most visitors arrive via I-985 from Atlanta, then take US 23/441 north for about 30 miles through rolling foothills. The town serves as a gateway to Georgia's mountain region and features the state's oldest courthouse still in continuous use, built in 1877.
