Clarence is a small farming town in eastern Iowa's Cedar County, reached via Highway 30 which connects it to Cedar Rapids (45 miles northwest) and the Quad Cities (60 miles southeast). The community sits among rolling agricultural land typical of Iowa's corn and soybean country. County Road X40 provides north-south access through town. Clarence's grain elevator along the railroad tracks serves as both a working agricultural facility and classic Iowa landmark.
