Circle D-KC Estates is a small rural community in Bastrop County, about 30 miles southeast of Austin via Highway 290 through Elgin. The area sits in the Lost Pines region where forests meet pastureland, accessible from Houston via Highway 71 west through Bastrop. The community of 3,135 residents was named after the original Circle D Ranch and its distinctive KC cattle brand that once marked longhorns grazing these Central Texas pastures.
