Churdan is a small Iowa farming town in Greene County, connected to Jefferson by Highway 4 about 12 miles northeast. Most visitors arrive via Interstate 35 from Des Moines, then Highway 210 west through Perry or Jefferson, covering about 60 miles through corn and soybean country. The town sits along the Raccoon River valley and features a restored 1913 Carnegie library building.
