Chinook is a small agricultural town in north-central Montana, about 40 miles from the Canadian border. US Highway 2 runs right through town, connecting it to Havre (25 miles west) and Glasgow (60 miles east). The area is classic Hi-Line country with wheat fields and cattle ranches stretching across rolling plains. The 1912 red brick courthouse dominates the modest downtown and can be spotted from miles away across the prairie.
