Cheyenne, Wyoming's capital and largest city, sits where I-80 and I-25 meet in the state's southeast corner. The city connects easily to Denver via either interstate, about 100 miles southeast. I-80 continues west to Laramie and Salt Lake City, while I-25 heads north through Casper to Montana. The airport is just 2 miles from downtown. The Wyoming State Capitol's golden dome, covered in 24-karat gold leaf, dominates the skyline and can be spotted from miles across the high plains.
