Cheyenne Wells is a small county seat in southeastern Colorado's farm country, about 150 miles from Colorado Springs. US Highway 40 runs right through town and connects to I-70 at Limon, making it the main route for visitors from Denver or the Front Range. The 1920s red brick courthouse with its tall clock tower dominates the prairie skyline and can be spotted from miles away across the flat grasslands.
