Chester is a tiny farming town in northeast Iowa where Highway 9 meets US 63. Most visitors arrive via US 63 from Decorah or New Hampton, or take Highway 9 from Cresco 8 miles west. The intersection makes it a crossroads for rural traffic despite having only about 150 residents. Chester holds the distinction of being one of Iowa's smallest incorporated cities.
