Cherryvale is a small Kansas city of about 2,100 people in Montgomery County, 20 miles north of Oklahoma. US Highway 169 runs right through town, connecting to Wichita 90 miles northwest via US 400. Highway 39 links to Independence (15 miles west) and Parsons to the east. The restored 1920s Lyric Theatre downtown still shows movies and hosts live performances.
