Chena Ridge is a hillside community southeast of Fairbanks, reached via Chena Ridge Road off the Richardson Highway. Most traffic consists of daily commutes to Fairbanks and the airport, about 15 miles away. The elevated location at over 1,000 feet makes it one of the area's premier spots for watching the northern lights during Alaska's long winter nights.
