Chatham is a small Louisiana town on Highway 167, about 45 miles south of Monroe in Jackson Parish. The main route runs north-south through pine forest country between Monroe and Alexandria. It's a classic rural Louisiana stop with limited services, where the 1924 Methodist Church's white steeple serves as the town's most recognizable landmark from the highway.
