Charlotte is a small Texas town about 30 miles south of San Antonio on US Highway 281, serving as the Atascosa County seat. The main route from San Antonio involves taking I-35 south to the US 281 exit, then continuing south through rolling Hill Country terrain. Highway 97 provides east-west connections to Floresville and Pleasanton. The 1912 red sandstone courthouse with its prominent clock tower dominates the downtown square.
