Chandler is a small East Texas city of about 3,500 people, located 20 miles southwest of Tyler via US Highway 31. The town sits in pine country with a humid subtropical climate. State Highway 155 provides east-west access, while I-20 runs 15 miles south for longer trips to Dallas or Shreveport. Tyler Pounds Regional Airport is 25 miles northeast. The historic Davey Doghouse drive-in has been serving burgers since 1947.
