Chadbourn is a small agricultural town in southeastern North Carolina, connected primarily by US Highway 74 running east-west through the center. The highway links Wilmington 45 miles southeast with Charlotte 100 miles northwest, while NC Highway 410 provides north-south access to neighboring communities. The town hosts the annual North Carolina Strawberry Festival each May, complete with the crowning of the state's Strawberry Queen.
