Centreville, the Queen Anne's County seat, sits on Maryland's Eastern Shore about 12 miles east of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge via Route 18. US Route 213 runs north-south through town, connecting to Chestertown and the Bay Bridge approaches, while Route 18 provides the main east-west link. Most visitors take US 50 across the Bay Bridge, then Route 18 east. The 1792 Georgian courthouse downtown is one of Maryland's oldest still in use.
