Central Square is a small Oswego County village of about 2,100 people, located 20 miles northeast of Syracuse at the junction of State Route 11 and County Route 17. Most visitors arrive via I-81 to Exit 32, then Route 11 northeast. The area serves as a quiet rural hub with easy Syracuse access, surrounded by rolling farmland typical of central New York's lake country. The volunteer fire department still uses a traditional bell to call firefighters.
