Centerville is a small East Texas town of about 1,000 people, located 90 miles southeast of Dallas along State Highway 7. Most visitors arrive via I-45 from Houston (2 hours) or Dallas, exiting near Madisonville and heading west. The town sits among dense pine forests typical of the Piney Woods region, with SH 7 serving as the main east-west route connecting Tyler and Crockett. The 1928 Art Deco courthouse dominates the town square with its distinctive clock tower.
