Center is a small farming community in Howard County, about 12 miles northeast of Kokomo via State Road 26. With just over 600 residents, it sits along flat agricultural land typical of central Indiana. The main route is SR 26, which connects to Kokomo and continues east toward Gas City. Kokomo Municipal Airport is about 12 miles southwest. The town's defining feature is its location along the active Nickel Plate Railroad corridor, where freight trains still roll through daily.
