Center sits in Colorado's San Luis Valley at 7,600 feet, serving the region's potato farms and ranches. Take US 160 west from Walsenburg or east from Alamosa (20 miles). It's a stop for visitors heading to Great Sand Dunes National Park. The Iris Theater, operating since 1915, is Colorado's oldest continuously running movie house.
