Center City is a lakeside town of 651 people in east-central Minnesota, about 45 miles northeast of Minneapolis via I-35 and Highway 8. The community sits on South Center Lake in Chisago County's forested lake country. Highway 8 is the main route in, connecting to I-35 at Chisago City, while Highway 61 provides north-south access about 15 miles east. The town is home to the original Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation treatment facility, founded in 1949.
