Cement is a tiny farming town in southwestern Oklahoma, about an hour's drive from Oklahoma City via I-40 and Highway 281. The community of 407 people sits along State Highway 8 in Caddo County, surrounded by wheat fields and cattle pastures. Most visitors are locals from nearby Anadarko or Chickasha making short trips on county roads. The town earned its unusual name from an early cement plant that operated here in the 1900s.
