Cedar Key is a small fishing village on Florida's Gulf Coast, reached via State Road 24 from Interstate 75. The island sits about an hour southwest of Gainesville and two hours north of Tampa. Most visitors drive through rural Levy County on SR-24, crossing marshes and small bridges before reaching the historic downtown that dead-ends at a seawall where pelicans dive for fish.
