Cattaraugus is a small village in western New York's rolling hills, about an hour southeast of Buffalo via I-86 and Route 353. The area sits at 1,400 feet elevation with typical northeastern seasons. Route 353 serves as the main corridor connecting to Salamanca and Pennsylvania, while Route 16 links northwest toward the Buffalo region. The village of 1,000 residents centers around the restored 1882 railroad depot that now houses the local historical center.
