Castleford is a tiny farming town of 183 people along the Snake River in south-central Idaho, about 15 miles southeast of Twin Falls on US Highway 30. Most folks pass through on their way between Twin Falls and points east, though some stop to see the nearby Balanced Rock formation where a massive boulder sits balanced on a narrow stone pillar above the Snake River canyon.
