Castalia is a tiny Nash County farming community of 250 people along US Highway 301, about 15 miles north of Rocky Mount. The main route in is Highway 301, with Interstate 95 accessible 20 miles east. Most visitors are passing through on the historic tobacco route, and the town still operates working tobacco warehouses during harvest season.
