Cascade is a small eastern Iowa town of 2,400 people in Dubuque County's rolling hills. Highway 136 runs through the center, connecting west to Highway 151 and east to Dubuque (15 miles). Most traffic is local, though visitors come from Cedar Rapids via Highway 151. The town's 1902 opera house still hosts community theater in its original Victorian interior.
