Carmel is a prosperous Indianapolis suburb about 20 miles north via US 31 or Meridian Street. The city sits along major routes to Chicago and Louisville through I-465 connections. Known for replacing nearly every traffic light with roundabouts, Carmel now has over 140 of them throughout the city.
