Carlock is a farming community of 500 people in central Illinois, about 15 miles from Bloomington-Normal via Route 9. Take I-74 to Exit 137, then head north on county roads. The area features typical Midwest agricultural landscape with corn and soybean fields. A restored grain elevator from the 1900s dominates the small downtown area.
