Carlisle is a small farming town in east-central Arkansas, about 30 miles northeast of Little Rock via Interstate 40 and US Highway 70. The main routes are US 70 running east-west and Arkansas Highway 13 going north-south, with I-40 providing access to Little Rock and Memphis. The town sits in prime agricultural country with rice and soybean fields all around. The old Missouri Pacific Railroad depot downtown now serves as a community center.
