Capron is a small farming town of about 1,300 people in northern Illinois, right along the Wisconsin border. It's about 75 miles northwest of Chicago via I-90 to Route 173, or 45 minutes north from Rockford on Route 2. The village sits on flat prairie land surrounded by corn and soybean fields. Capron's annual Fun Days festival has been bringing the community together every summer since 1977.
