Capac is a farming town of about 2,000 people in Michigan's Thumb region, 60 miles northeast of Detroit. Take I-94 east to M-19 north, then M-21 east from Detroit, or use I-69 to M-53 south from Flint. The town sits where M-21 and M-53 intersect, surrounded by corn and soybean fields. Every June, Capac hosts its famous Strawberry Festival with a pancake breakfast that draws crowds from across the region.
