Canton is a small city in southeastern South Dakota, about 20 miles from Sioux Falls via Highway 18. Most visitors take I-29 to Exit 406, then follow Highway 18 west into town. The area serves farming communities and sits along a popular route between South Dakota and Iowa. Canton Municipal Airport has a 2,400-foot runway that mainly handles private planes and crop dusters.
