Canton is a small farming town in central Kansas, about 50 miles north of Wichita along US Highway 56. The main route from Wichita takes I-135 north to McPherson, then US-56 west for 15 miles. Kansas Highway 61 provides north-south access through town. This agricultural community sits among productive wheat and corn fields, with historic grain elevators serving as the town's most recognizable landmark along the highway.
