Cannonville is a tiny Utah town of 228 people sitting right on scenic Highway 12 between Bryce Canyon and Capitol Reef. Most visitors come from Panguitch (25 miles north) or continue south toward Escalante. The town was named after Mormon leader George Q. Cannon and still has its original 1870s street grid with extra-wide streets built for ox teams to turn around.
