Cannelburg is a tiny farming town in southwestern Indiana's Daviess County, reachable via rural roads connecting to State Road 58. Most visitors arrive from Vincennes (25 miles southwest via US-41) or Washington (15 miles northeast). The rolling agricultural landscape experiences typical Midwest weather with hot summers and cold winters. The town was named after cannel coal, a bright-burning variety once mined locally before the electric age.
