Candor is a small town of about 1,160 people in Montgomery County's Sandhills region. Highway 211 runs right through downtown, connecting east to Aberdeen and Southern Pines or west to Troy. Most visitors come from nearby communities for the annual Founder's Day Festival, which features traditional crafts and bluegrass music on the main street each fall.
