Candler-McAfee is an unincorporated community in DeKalb County, about 12 miles southeast of downtown Atlanta. Interstate 20 runs right through it, with US 278 serving as the main commercial corridor. The area sits conveniently between I-285 and Stone Mountain, making it a hub for metro Atlanta commuters. Hartsfield-Jackson Airport is 20 miles away via I-20 and I-285. The community is anchored by South DeKalb Mall, one of Georgia's first enclosed shopping centers from 1968.
