Canby is a farming town of 1,500 people in southwestern Minnesota, sitting at the intersection of US Highway 75 and State Highway 68. Most visitors arrive via US 75 from Sioux Falls (90 miles south) or Marshall (30 miles northeast). The downtown centerpiece is a restored 1893 opera house that still hosts live theater.
